Hezbollah Denounces Damascus Blast, Lashes out at Terrorist Groups

Hezbollah harshly condemned the attack that targeted civilians in the Syrian capital on Thursday, as it denounced the perpetrators of the blast and who stand behind them.

“The hand of crime does not miss any chance to spread death and destruction across the Arab capitals and cities,” Hezbollah’s Media Relations said in a statement released on Thursday.

“ Today, it (the hand of crime) chooses the heart of Damascus to prove its spite, killing innocent citizens, students returning from schools, women and children, without paying attention to the tragedies that families suffer as they lose their beloved ones.”

“The mechanism of killing and destruction which dominates the behavior of these terrorist gangs that infiltrated our region’s cities, including the Syrian capital, Damascus, is a strange behavior from our religion and our ethics.”

This mechanism of killing “is made and brought by the international intelligence gangs to those groups which cover itself by the religion of Islam and Islam is free from,” the statement added.

“Hezbollah condemns the horrible crime that targeted the city of Damascus and led to the martyrdom of dozens and the injury of hundreds others of innocent civilians.”

The party also lashed out at the “perpetrators of the crime and those who stand behind these terrorist groups, fund and support them.”

Meanwhile, Hezbollah called on the Syrians to expel these groups which aim to destroy the future of these people and eliminate any chance of a peaceful settlement for the Syrian crisis.
