Syrian Army Continues Military Operations in Aleppo

The Syrian army continued its military operations in Aleppo countryside on Saturday in a bid to open its path to the Western parts of the region.
The army units made advances in the Southern parts of the Aleppo countryside, specially after they tightened their grip on Rasam Bekro, Al-Jadideh, Al-Safireh, Haddadin, Al-Tineh Al-Madajen Hills, Al-Shahid, Azan Mountain, Hadadin, Al-Najm Castle and Rasm Al-Sheikh regions in the last four days.

The army’s control over these regions will pave the way for it to have the militants stationed in Abtin and Al-Vazihi regions within the reach of its artillery fire.

Military analysts believe that these victories will enable the Syrian army to open a new front in the Western parts of Aleppo towards Al-Zorbeh town, which is currently under militants’ fire, in a bid to clear Aleppo-Damascus highway that is only 10 kilometers away from Azan Mountain in Western Aleppo.

On Friday, a military source said that the army units targeted rebels’ gatherings in al-Jadideh, the industrial city, al-Hader, Haritan, Bashkoui, Kafer Houm, Tal Refa’at, al-Sakhour, Ebtin, Salah Eddin, al-Ansari and al-Rashidin 4 in Aleppo countryside, killing and inuring a number of fighters.

The source added that army units also killed and injured a number of militants in Bab al-Hadid, Bani Zaid, al-Halk, Alleramoun, Babis, Blas, Sheikh Lutfi and Marea.
