Lebanon’s resistance movement Hezbollah has in a fresh round of strikes targeted several Israeli military sites with drones and missiles in retaliation for the occupying regime’s months-long aggression on Lebanese soil and in solidarity with Palestinians in the besieged Gaza.
Hezbollah announced the retaliatory attacks in separate statements on Sunday, saying that its fighters had struck Israel’s 188th Brigade in the Rawia barracks with dozens of Katyusha rockets in the north of the occupied territories.
“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli enemy’s attacks on the steadfast southern villages and safe homes… the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted the headquarters of the armored battalions of the 188th Brigade in the Rawia barracks with dozens of Katyusha rockets,” the statement said.
Hezbollah said in another statement that the popular resistance group had struck a technical system in the Malikiyah site in a drone attack, achieving a direct hit that led to its destruction.
Hezbollah fighters also targeted a position of Israeli soldiers in the Metulla site with drones, leaving an unspecified number of casualties.
The resistance movement had a day earlier struck the Galilee Division Reserve Base and its logistics depots at Ami’ad kibbutz in the north of the Israeli-occupied territories with dozens of Katyusha rockets.
