Hezbollah urges all Lebanese to unite in support of residents in the southern region
The Hezbollah resistance movement has issued a call for increased support to facilitate the return of Lebanese citizens to their homes in southern Lebanon in the face of ongoing Israeli military actions.
Hezbollah has characterized Sunday, January 26, 2025, as a “Glorious Day of God,” highlighting it as a “majestic scene of honor and dignity” shaped by the actions of the resistance movement’s supporters.
In a statement released on Sunday evening, the organization commended the Lebanese population for their resilience, emphasizing their profound bond with the land, their enduring commitment to every aspect of its territory, and their unyielding position as defenders of national sovereignty in the face of threats and aggression.
The statement emphasized that since the year 2000, a recurring theme has emerged, highlighting the steadfast resistance of the people in repelling adversaries. It underscores the notion that there is no room for occupiers in this cherished land, which has been sanctified by the sacrifices of martyrs.
Hezbollah emphasized the potent symbolism of residents returning to their communities, bearing images of martyrs and resistance flags, as a demonstration of perseverance, resilience, and triumph. The statement underscored that this unwavering determination and indomitable spirit constitute the resistance’s most formidable weapon. It also referenced the late martyr Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, who characterized this force as an “unbeatable point of power.”
The group reaffirmed its commitment to honoring the sacrifices of its martyrs, emphasizing that no power, regardless of its strength, can withstand the growing popular movement striving for liberation and the eventual defeat of the occupying forces.
Hezbollah reaffirmed the lasting significance of the “Army-People-Resistance” formula, emphasizing it as a practical reality beyond just rhetoric. According to the organization, this unity serves as a defense mechanism for Lebanon against its adversaries, manifested daily through the sacrifices made by its citizens.
The statement urged all Lebanese citizens to rally in solidarity with their compatriots in the south, emphasizing national unity and a collective pursuit of genuine sovereignty characterized by liberation and triumph. Hezbollah appealed to the international community, particularly those countries backing recent agreements, to hold Israel accountable for its breaches and offenses and to ensure its complete withdrawal from Lebanese lands.
