100m cms/day gas injected to oil fields since March 21

Since March 21, marking start of the new Iranian calendar year of 1390, 100 million cubic meters of gas have been injected to the country’s oil wells daily.

Director of the Coordination and Production Monitoring Department at National Iranian Oil Company Amir-Masood Jabari says his company has been able to meet only about 78 percent of the target set for the period, that is 130 million cubic meters a day.

On talks with Iran for development of joint oil fields, Jabbari said the two sides have thus far held several round of talks and the next round will be held in Tehran.

Hoping that a joint Iranian-Iraqi consortium will be formed to be active in joint oil fields, Jabbari said Iran is independently following its own affairs for development of joint oil fields.
