Hizbullah 2000 Liberation Turning Point in Nation’s Struggle Against Occupation

Iranian Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani, stated that the Zionist entity’s withdrawal from South Lebanon in 2000 was the beginning of other victories achieved -and yet to be achieved- by the Islamic resistance in the future, indicating that God willing [they] will be continuous victories.

In an interview with al-Intiqad online newspaper on the occasion of Resistance and Liberation Day, Larijani expressed optimism regarding the future of Hizbullah and the resistance in Lebanon. He confirmed, “They represent a bright phenomenon in the region, which depends on people who believe in the divine promise.”
“The resistance represents a great capital for the Lebanese people, and the more powerful and capable the resistance becomes, the more Lebanon guarantees its independence. That’s why it is important to exert efforts to help this strong and effective resistance survive,” the Iranian official iterated.

“There aren’t many forces in our region like the Islamic resistance, which has compatibility and capabilities. Hizbullah’s capability destroyed the morale of the Zionist entity, and this is great pride for the Lebanese people,” he went on to say.
Moreover, Iranian Speaker sent two letters to each of Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri, greeting them on the anniversary of liberating South Lebanon from the Zionist occupation.
In his letters to Sayyed Nasrallah and Berri, Larijani believed that “the Islamic resistance victory and the liberation of South Lebanon from the Zionist occupation, are a bright turning point in the history of the Islamic nation’s struggle against oppression and occupation.”

“Liberating South Lebanon and achieving victory in the triumphant victory that lasted 33 days were the beginning of major victories against the Zionist entity,” Larijani noted.
Larijani concluded his letter to Sayyed Nasrallah saying, “Without doubt, the dawn set by the free people of the world is a legacy from Imam Khomeini, and a result of the wise measures of the Leader [The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei], the Jihad and sacrifice of the Muslim freedom fighters, the blood of martyrs and the patience of their families.”
