Honored protesters in Iraq set ablaze Saudi broadcaster MBC in response to derogatory comments made about resistance leaders
In Baghdad, a significant number of Iraqi demonstrators breached the premises of a Saudi television station. This incident followed the airing of a report by the broadcaster that was perceived as disrespectful towards the commanders and leaders associated with the Axis of Resistance.

A security source reported that a group of approximately 400 to 500 individuals breached the Baghdad studios of Saudi broadcaster MBC shortly after midnight.
An anonymous source informed AFP news agency that the intruders had damaged electronic equipment, destroyed computers, and ignited a section of the building.
According to the source, the fire has been successfully extinguished and law enforcement authorities have dispersed the crowd. “Security forces remain stationed in the vicinity of the building,” the source noted.
The report grouped the Axis of Resistance, which includes Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Palestine’s Hamas, Yemen’s Ansarullah, and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, together with terrorist figures, such as Osama bin Laden and their respective leaders.
The report highlighted the assassinations of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli attack on southern Beirut last month, and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Tehran in late July.
The article also referenced Yahya Sinwar, the successor to Haniyeh, who orchestrated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood within the southern Israeli-occupied territories on October 7 of the previous year.
The report aired by the Saudi television channel labeled the deceased commanders and leaders of the Axis of Resistance as “terrorists”.
Sabereen News, a Telegram channel linked to Iraq’s anti-terrorism Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), has released footage depicting demonstrators in Baghdad waving the flags of different resistance factions.
The report emerges amid a period of intensified activity by resistance groups, including Hamas and Hezbollah, alongside their allies in Yemen, Iraq, and Syria, who have been conducting operations against Israeli interests. These actions are in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and have been ongoing for over a year.
Since October 7 of the previous year, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been engaged in ongoing operations targeting strategic sites throughout the occupied territories. These actions commenced following the onset of the Israeli regime’s intense military campaign in the Gaza Strip.
The ongoing Israeli military offensive has resulted in the deaths of at least 42,500 Palestinians, the majority of whom are reported to be women and children.
The Iraqi coalition has launched retaliatory strikes against US military bases located in Iraq and neighboring Syria. These actions are in response to Washington’s extensive political, military, and intelligence backing for Israel amid the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
