Houthi forces foil major Saudi-led offensive near Yemeni border

The Saudi-led troops launched a big offensive inside the Jizan region of this Gulf kingdom, yesterday, targeting several areas controlled by the Houthi forces.

Backed by heavy airstrikes from the Arab Coalition, the Saudi-led troops attempted to capture the Harad Customs area in a bid to expel the Houthi forces from this imperative region of the province.

However, the Saudi-led offensive would ultimately fail, as the Houthi forces were well-positioned and unwilling to yield any ground to the attacking pro-government troops.

According to the official media wing of the Houthi forces, their troops managed to repel the entire attack with RPGs and assault rifles.
