Iran researchers develop hydraulic systems for aerospace

Iranian researchers have developed solenoid slave spool valves based on aerospace standards and have made this hydraulic systems indigenous.
Reza Adibi, MSc. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Tehran, who has developed the product in a knowledge-based company, pointed to its wider applications in industry and engineering fields. “Aerospace, auto-making, iron, oil and gas, mechanics, assembly line, and engineering fields would require this product,” he added.

“In a hydraulic system, operating module can be determined by guiding the fluid in the specific path, or system can be forced to do a function or stop it,” he said, “for example, to move a hydraulic jack, the fluid changing the direction of jack movement is guided by solenoid slave spool valves, which activates jack or deactivates it by changing the direction,” he explained.

Adibi said that the product was developed according to Iranian markets demand and ordered by aerospace industries. “ The product is produced only and exclusively by few developed countries leading in aerospace industry; so, importing it, when the country is under sanctions, would pose much time and expense on the customer, and its correct operation and post-sales services would not be guaranteed,” he added.

He believed independence in hi-tech and decreased production costs as outcomes of developing the device. “Up to now, 50 developed products has been delivered to aerospace industry,” Adibi added.
