Terrorists Attack Power Station and High-Tension Power Line in al-Midan and al-Qaboun,Syria

An armed terrorist group attacked the Midan-2 high-tension electric power transfer station on Monday evening, causing significant damage to the station resulting in a blackout in some areas in Damascus and its countryside.

A source in the Electricity Ministry told SANA that the terrorist attack resulted in a loss of power in the areas of al-Qadam, Hosh Blas, Sahnaya, al-Sbaineh and al-Hajar al-Aswad.

The source added that terrorists also attacked the high-tension power line feeding the Qaboun-2 transfer station, causing a loss of power in some areas in the east of Damascus.

The Electricity Ministry said that workshops and repair teams are working to repair the damage and restore electricity in all areas as soon as possible.
