Saudi-Israeli Ties Unmasked: Abandoning of Palestine, Turning to Fight Iran
Israeli media reported recently that a high-level Zionist delegation headed by a top official had visited Riyadh several weeks ago, and that the military censorship does neither allow talking about the, nor about its goals.
However, it was not the first time that media reports talk about meeting between Gulf or Saudi officials with Zionists, which reflects confidential ties between Gulf regime, mainly Al-Saud, and the usurping Israeli entity.
In addition to the Israeli statements, pictures and information were being published between now and then, in a form of meetings and hand-shakings, about a certain relation combining Israelis and some Gulf figures, such as the photo of former Israeli President Shimon Peres wandering around “Waqef Market” in the Qatari capital of Doha, and the media leaks about the possibility of opening a new subsidiary for International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi, provided that ‘Israel’ would have an official representative office in the Emirati capital.
Saudi Arabia and Israel: Normalization or Coalition
During his speech on Martyred Leaders commemoration, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah pointed out that some people are trying to portray the Zionist entity as a defender of the “Sunnis” in order to exploit circumstances and developments and to move some relationships from under the table to above of the table…
“How a sane Sunni could accept that the Zionist entity presents itself as his friend, his ally and his protector,” Sayyed Nasrallah asked, adding: “What a fraud and deception practiced by Arab media and Arab spiteful and ignorant rulers?” wondering that how can anyone accepts the Zionist entity as a friend, ally and protector after it had committed all that sins so far.
If they are proved correct, these information raise a lot of questions about the extent of such relationships and their causes. Does it make sense that some Arab rulers become extremist and be friends with the first enemy of Arab and Islamic nation? Have they forgotten or pretended to forget that the Israeli enemy committed thousands of massacres against the Arab people in Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria? Has the Gulf regimes turned a blind eye on the Palestinian cause which is supposed to be a central issue for the whole nation? Is what is happening between Al-Saud and the Zionists normalization or an announcement of an alliance between the two?
Saudi didn’t deny meeting with the Zionists
The Lebanese writer and political analyst Talal Atrissi said that “meetings between the Saudis and Zionists had begun in the past and are developing quickly after Saudi Arabia announced that the enemy in the region is Iran,” pointing out that “this focus on hostility to Iran justifies why Israel does not consider itself the enemy or the cause of the region’s problems. ”
“Considering Iran as the enemy by Saudis, as well as by Israel, forms what the Israelis call an Alliance of the Affected Parties, i.e. Saudi Arabia, Gulf states and Israel, which is an alliance to confront a common enemy, namely Iran, according to their opinion,” he added, noting that “all the leaks about the meetings are carried out by the Israeli military and ordered by the military censorship in order to achieve several objectives, including igniting sedition within the nation, and confirming that these relationships are not new, which in turn confirms the involvement of the Saudi who claims chastity before Arabs and Muslims.
Atrissi highlighted that Sayyed Nasrallah warned the Sunnis in the world against the lies of the Israelis, and said that the alliance with Israel to protect the Sunnis is void because those who were killed by Israel were Sunnis,” underlying that “Gulf regimes do not care for Palestine or for their peoples.”
“All that matters Saudi Arabia is to fight Iran,” he said.
Regarding the positions of Arab people, especially in Egypt, Atrissi said that “Arab and Muslim people do not accept normalization with Israel,” adding that “the living proof of this is the Egyptian people, who is still opposing normalization in spite of all these years following the Camp David agreement between the Egyptian regime and the Israeli entity.”
“A few days ago, a shoe was lifted against an MP in the Egyptian parliament over receiving the Israeli ambassador, which confirms the steadfastness of the Egyptian people to confront the Israeli enemy and refuse normalization,” the Lebanese writer said.
It is a shame for the Saudi rulers to act in contrary to their declared positions. They portray themselves the owners of chastity and purity and the “servants” of the Two Holy Mosques, while the Zionist Channel-10 reported that Saudi top leaders said during the meetings with Israeli officials that “they are not interested in the Palestinians and not ashamed of the relation with Israel, but they stressed the need to keep it a secret and within closed rooms, but they want Israel to their side …”
