The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei to parliamentarians:
You are like a mountain peak; what comes out of the heart of this peak will flow down over the skirt and foot of the mountain. Like other mountain peaks in the country, the behavior, etiquettes, tempers of MPs in the parliament and the way they interact with one another influences the behavior, etiquettes, manners and conducts of all the people in society. This is a natural and perpetual process. If wisdom, acumen, peace, tranquility and kindness dominate the atmosphere of the parliament and if the voices of the parliament echo these qualities in the society, these characteristics will gradually influence the society. If there is tension, irritation and underactivity in the parliament, this will also be reflected in people’s behavior. Such influence is natural.
