Iran 1st women’s bank opened in Mashhad

The first branch of Women’s Melli Bank named Fatemiyeh branch was opened in Mashhad, northeastern Iran on Monday.

The executive manager of Iran’s Melli Bank regarded the opening of this branch as an effort to promote the culture of chastity and increasing security for the presence of Iranian Muslim women in society.

“All banking services are presented in this branch,” Khavari said, adding: “The only advantage of this branch over other branches of Melli Bank is that all of its staff and customers are women and Mashhad’s women police station is responsible for its security.”
