Iran activated advanced centrifuges as a countermeasure to ‘politicized’ resolution of IAEA

Iran has initiated the operation of new and advanced centrifuges, according to Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf. This development comes as a direct response to a recent resolution passed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which Iranian officials have criticized as being politically motivated and aimed at their civilian nuclear initiative.

During an open parliamentary session on Sunday, Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf addressed the assembly, just days after the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors passed an anti-Iran resolution. The vote on the resolution saw 19 members in favor, three against, and 12 abstentions.

He stated that the “unrealistic, politicized, and harmful approach” taken by Britain, France, Germany, and the United States resulted in the adoption of an “unjustified and non-consensus” resolution regarding Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities.

A spokesperson announced that the Islamic Republic promptly initiated its reciprocal measures in response to perceived political manipulation by the IAEA’s Board of Governors, embarking on the deployment of a series of new and advanced centrifuges.

The Speaker of Parliament criticized the three European nations and the United States for exploiting Iran’s peaceful nuclear program as a pretext for their unauthorized measures. These actions, he noted, undermine the credibility and autonomy of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and damage the constructive environment in Iran’s relations with the agency.

Israel Described as ‘Most Hated and Isolated’ Regime

Additionally, Qalibaf addressed the issuance of arrest warrants by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. These warrants pertain to alleged war crimes associated with the current situation in Gaza, described as genocide.

He described the recent judgment against what he termed “two of the most significant war criminals in modern history” as the initial step in a series of actions targeting Israeli officials accused of committing atrocities in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

A spokesperson has remarked that the Zionist regime finds itself increasingly despised and isolated, as decades of attempts to obscure its alleged crimes have diminished in effectiveness. This change, they claim, has been brought about by the sacrifices of tens of thousands in Gaza and Lebanon, including key resistance leaders.

Since the onset of October 2023, Israel has engaged in intense military operations on two fronts, resulting in the reported deaths of at least 44,176 individuals in the Gaza Strip and 3,670 in Lebanon, according to latest figures.

Israel’s recent military operations have resulted in the near-total displacement of Gaza’s population and have affected over 20% of Lebanon’s inhabitants, according to reports.
