Information Ministry, Presidential Media office bless martyrdom of al-Manar TV journalists

 

 Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi affirmed Monday that targeting al-Manar TV media team today in Maaloula, Damascus countryside is a crime to be added to the record of takfiri terrorism in Syria which previously attacked Syrian national media.

 Al-Zoubi, in a phone call with al-Manar TV and on behalf of the Information Ministry, National Media Council, Journalists Union and workers in Syrian media, blessed al-Manar, national resistance and families of martyrs for martyrdom of colleagues Hamza Haj Hassan, Mohammad Mantash and Halim Alwa after they had come under fires of terrorists while performing their press mission in Maaloula.

The Minister said terrorist war on Syria is a crucial one which determines the destiny of Islam, Christianity and the Arab nation, expressing confidence that Syria and resistance will win against terrorism and enemies of the nation.

Meanwhile, Presidential Media office blessed al-Manar TV and families of martyrs Hamza Haj Hassan, Mohammad Mantash and Halim Alwa for their accession to heavenly life along with those who preceded them while covering realIty of events in Syria.

“Blood of the three journalists and their Syrian colleagues will remain a torch which lightens the way of reality to the whole world,” the Media office affirmed.

Syrian Journalists Union condemns the crime

For its part, Syrian Journalists’ Union condemned the crime committed by armed takfiri terrorist groups against Manar TV journalists while performing their national duty in Maaloula.

The Union said in a statement this crime is part of a big conspiracy which targets the reality and the spread of genuine information as it targets journalists and their pens in spite of the clear signs they raise as media men and journalists.

It offered condolences to families of martyrs and their colleagues in al-Manar, saluting all martyrs of the resistant media.  

Syrian Arab News Agency: targeting al-Manar TV team is an attempt to prevent truth from reaching public opinion

Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) congratulated al-Manar TV on the martyrdom of three crew members, condemning this crime which is meant to prevent truth from reaching the public opinion.

SANA stressed that Martyrdom of three journalists is additional evidence oF the mission of al-Manar TV set to convey the truth, expressing pride in the martyrdom of journalists in Syria.

National Media Council: al-Manar TV martyrs are martyrs of Syria, Lebanon, Islamic and Arab nations

The National Media Council stressed that martyrs of al-Manar TV are martyrs of Syria, Lebanon, Islamic and Arab nations.

In a statement, the council offered condolences to al-Manar TV and its workers “who have worked hard to present honest resistant media against Zionism and terrorism.”

Earlier Monday, Al-Manar TV said its correspondent in Syria Hamza Haj Hassan, cameraman Mohammad Mantash and technician Halim Alwa were martyred after coming under fires of takfiri terrorists in the surroundings of Maaloula in Damascus countryside while covering Syrian Army’s operation there to restore security and stability to the historic town.

Al-Manar added that several journalists of the channel were also injured, clarifying the team cars were raising the press signs
