Iran Army initiated the primary phase of the ‘Eqtedar 1403’ air defense exercise in the southwestern region of Iran
The Iranian Army has launched the second phase of its "Eqtedar 1403" air defense exercises, which emphasize safeguarding the nation's airspace in a bid to enhance the country's defensive prowess.

Iran’s domestically developed ‘Majid’ air defense missile system played a pivotal role in a recent phase of military exercises, successfully targeting and neutralizing multiple unmanned aerial vehicles on Tuesday.
In this stage of the extensive operation, strategies will be employed to detect, track, intercept, and neutralize hostile targets.
During the exercise, air defense units will utilize domestically-produced radar systems alongside a surveillance network to monitor the southwestern and central regions of Iran, enhancing the drill’s operational scope.
Command and control centers are set to deploy advanced domestically-developed active and passive radar systems, alongside signal and electro-optical surveillance technologies, to monitor and track hostile targets within the war game zone.
Upon detection, advanced command-and-control systems will allocate suitable air defense measures to effectively counter and neutralize any incoming threats.
Under the operational leadership of Iran’s Joint Air Defense Base, the ‘Eqtedar 1403’ air defense exercise aims to unify the efforts of the Army’s Air Defense Force and the Air Force.
The exercise aims to replicate realistic combat scenarios, offering a platform to evaluate a range of sophisticated, locally manufactured air defense systems.
The systems are set to combat a variety of threats, encompassing aerial attacks, missile launches, and electronic warfare strategies.
The drill is designed to simulate similar scenarios with the objective of assessing and improving the preparedness of Iran’s air defense forces in handling potential external threats.
Iranian military units are conducting scheduled exercises across multiple regions within the country. These drills aim to assess the effectiveness of military weaponry and equipment and to evaluate the forces’ readiness for combat situations.
Officials from Iran have consistently emphasized that the nation will resolutely enhance its military capabilities, focusing particularly on missile power, purely for defensive purposes. Authorities have firmly declared that these defense capabilities remain non-negotiable.
