Iran-Belarus joint economic commission planned: Majlis Speaker

Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that Iran-Belarus joint economic commission will be established within one or two months.

According to IRNA, upon arrival at Mehrabad airport from Minsk on Thursday, he added that he held discussions aimed at promoting mutual economic cooperation during his stay in Belarus, saying that the two countries’ executive bodies have been assigned to adopt necessary measures in line with developing Iran-Belarus economic relationships.
Larijani further noted that during his Minsk visit, he held intensive talks with Belarusian president and prime minister, parliament speaker and foreign minister.
He added: “Belarus is our friendly country and we have close political ties as well as common stances on sensitive regional issues.”
Despite excellent political ties, the level of economic relationships is not satisfactory, Larijani said, contending that the two countries have good capacities for promoting economic cooperation.
