Iran borders, safest in world – commander

Iran’s Border Police Commander Brigadier General Hossein Zolfaqari said Sunday evening that the Islamic Republic enjoys the most secure borders in the entire world.

Zolfaqari said the confiscated drugs by the police forces in the border areas has witnessed a 59 percent increase during the current Iranian calendar year, started March 21, 2011, compared to the previous year.

The border police has no problem with monitoring the country’s joint borders with the Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iraq, the Iranian commander said, praising the round-the-clock efforts by the police forces in the border regions.
