Iran calls for due efforts to stop crimes in Gaza

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman said President Ahmadinejad, as the head of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), in a phone talk with his Egyptian counterpart has called for serious efforts by Islamic countries to stop the Zionists’ crimes in Gaza also by NAM member states.

According to IRIB, in his weekly press briefing Ramin Mehmanparast said support for the Palestinian people is among the principles of Iran’s policy, reaffirming Tehran’s readiness to send humanitarian aid packages to Gaza, as well as visit to the area by political officials and the Red Crescent Society.
He also talked about national dialogue on Syria in Tehran and said on Tuesday diplomacy is the best solution to the crisis in that country, while blocking pouring of arms into the hands of terrorists in Syria and avoiding foreign interference.
The Iranian spokesman further censured mum kept by certain countries vis-à-vis the crimes perpetrated in Gaza by the Zionist regime, and said these same countries pretended supporting the people in Syria while sought military violence there.
Elsewhere, Mehmanparast talked about the upcoming meeting between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency representatives, expressing hope that the agency would enter into the talks seriously and on logic-based approach.
