Hostage’s Father Casts Doubt on Netanyahu’s Assurance of Rescue Amid Ongoing Conflict
The father of an Israeli-American currently held captive in Gaza expressed bewilderment regarding the actions of the Israeli Prime Minister.

The father of an Israeli-American captive in Gaza has expressed concern over how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to secure the release of the final hostage without concluding the conflict in the embattled enclave.
In an interview with NewsNation’s ‘Morning in America,’ the father of Edan Alexander, who is currently held hostage, addressed both Israeli and American leaders regarding the ongoing stalemate in negotiations. He expressed curiosity about when Trump might lose patience with the current developments, noting that Trump had previously commended Prime Minister Netanyahu’s actions in reigniting the conflict.
Adi Alexander pressed the Prime Minister, inquiring about the strategy for securing the release of the final hostage without concluding the ongoing conflict or advancing to the second phase of the agreement.
The Hamas resistance group has released a video featuring Alexander just before the Passover holiday on Saturday. His father referred to the footage as a “sign of life.”
Later on Monday, Hamas announced that it has lost communication with the operatives holding Alexander in Gaza.
Abu Obeida, spokesperson for Hamas’s military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, reported that communication has been lost with the unit assigned to guard soldier Edan Alexander, following an Israeli airstrike on their position. Efforts to re-establish contact are currently underway.
