Deputy FM has said Vienna Syrian talks should prepare the ground for a political resolution, which includes the decision of Syrian nation for their future.

On the third leg of his regional tour, Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Beirut early Wednesday and held talks with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.

Attending a press conference Abdollahian emphasized that the ‘Palestinian protest is serious’ and warned the Zionists to expect more difficult days.

“Tehran praises the nation, Army, government and the legal President of Syria Bashar Asad for fighting against terrorism”, the Iranian official said during the conference.

Talking about the Vienna talks, he added that Iran has made no decision whether or not to attend the upcoming Vienna talks on Syria.

Reuters quoted Amir-Abdollahian as saying that Iran’s participation in the next ministerial meeting in Vienna would depend on Washington’s answers about some unilateral actions taken by the parties attending the talks without consulting others.

He noted that Iran will continue its supports for Syria and only political solutions are fitted for the crisis.

“Vienna talks should pave the way for the Syrian nation to decide about their own future and destiny,” he asserted.

Amir-Abdollahian also added that Yemen’s crisis can be resolved by dialogue and political solutions.

The Deputy FM said that Tehran will support new presidential elections in Lebanon, according to the votes of its nation.

Before Beirut, Amir-Abdollahian visited Moscow on Tuesday and held talks with Mikhail Bogdanov on Syria’s latest developments and the Vienna talks.

Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran and Russia hold share stances on Syria’s crisis following several dialogues.

The outcome of the Vienna talks is certainly significant for Iran which indeed should be fighting against terrorism. Moreover the opinion of the Syrian nation and Syria’s stability and security as well as its impact on the region should be considered as well, he noted.

Amir-Abdollahian left the Lebanese capital, Beirut, for Muscat this morning.

The Iranian official said that he will hold talks with Omani officials on latest regional developments, including Syria, Yemen and Palestine as well as bilateral ties.

On the forth leg of his regional tour, he will most probably travel to Iraqi capital, Baghdad, he said.
