Iran Court Sentences Three to Death for Shahcheragh Terrorist Attacks
An Islamic Revolutionary Court in Shiraz, Iran, has issued death sentences for three out of the seven individuals convicted on terrorism charges in connection with the attacks at Shahcheragh.

The Shahcheragh Shrine, a prominent religious site located in southern Iran, was the target of lethal terrorist assaults in both 2022 and 2023. The Daesh militant group has claimed responsibility for these attacks.
The chief justice of Fars province, Seyyed Sadrollah Rajaei-Nasab, announced that three individuals identified as the masterminds behind a recent attack have been sentenced to death. The decision comes after their involvement in terrorist activities, which have been described as tantamount to “spreading corruption on earth” under Islamic law. In addition to the death penalty, the individuals were also handed 25-year prison sentences.
Two individuals associated with Daesh have been handed prison sentences of 10 and 15 years for their roles in supplying firearms, ammunition, and logistical support. Additionally, two women have been sentenced to five years each for their involvement, according to reports.
He announced that, considering Islamic leniency and the specific situations of the convicted women, their sentences will be served outside of prison. The individuals will be monitored electronically within a one-kilometer radius of their residences.
A Judiciary official has announced that the Islamic Revolution Court of Shiraz has concluded its investigations and hearings, resulting in the closure of the primary case. Nevertheless, the official noted that additional related cases remain under review.
