Iran expresses unwavering support for Lebanon in efforts to alleviate the impacts of Zionist aggression

Iran remains steadfast in its support for the Lebanese population, aiming to assist in healing and alleviating the repercussions of the actions by the Zionist regime, according to Mojtaba Amani, Tehran's ambassador to Lebanon.

On Wednesday, Amani took to his X account to highlight the recently established ceasefire between the involved parties in Lebanon. He asserted that, akin to the triumphs of 2000 and 2006, Lebanon has secured yet another “divine victory” this year, attributing the success to the nation’s formidable resistance efforts on the battlefield.

In his Arabic message, he attributed the triumph to the firm official position, the resolute efforts of a staunch military, and exceptional, widespread popular unity spanning cities and regions nationwide.

The Iranian ambassador emphasized that this “golden equation” has consistently countered the aggressive aims of the Zionist regime while preserving Lebanon’s dignity and honor.

In a message of commendation to the citizens of Lebanon and various factions within the nation, praise was extended for a significant victory that had been anticipated by Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Islamic Resistance. His influential role, both spiritually and strategically throughout this confrontation, provided motivation and direction to leaders and fighters. Nasrallah’s steadfast assertion that “victory will certainly be ours” has now come to fruition.

In a concluding remark, Amani affirmed Iran’s unwavering support for Lebanon, emphasizing Tehran’s commitment to assist in recovery efforts following the aftermath of what he described as the Zionist regime’s aggressive actions, which he claimed cause only devastation and havoc. He expressed solidarity with Lebanon, exclaiming, “Long live Lebanon!”

A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah was implemented early Wednesday, bringing an end to a year-long conflict in southern Lebanon and the northern areas of the occupied territories.

U.S. President Joe Biden announced that an agreement has been reached that stipulates the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon within the next 60 days.
