Iran FM says ready to visit Gaza amid Israeli strikes

Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has expressed readiness to visit the Gaza Strip to express solidarity with Palestinians and deliver humanitarian aid to the blockaded coastal enclave.

Salehi made the remarks in an interview on Saturday, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue supporting the people of Gaza.

He further expressed hope that friendly countries would facilitate Iranian delegation’s visit to Gaza so that Iran Red Crescent Society’s (IRCS) relief workers and humanitarian aid could help alleviate the miseries of the people of Gaza.

The Iranian foreign minister also slammed the regional countries for not sending all-out aid to the blockaded coastal enclave.

The Iranian Red Crescent Society announced on Friday that Iran is ready to dispatch humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.

The IRCS sent a letter to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society on Friday, condemning the Israeli aggression against Gaza and expressing readiness to send relief supplies and medical assistance to the coastal sliver.

The new wave of Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip has claimed at least 43 lives since November 14.
