Iran FM stated that Yemen not require military support from Tehran

Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has reiterated Tehran's commitment to supporting the Yemeni population and various resistance groups. He firmly dismissed allegations asserting that Iran provides military assistance to the government in Sana'a.

During the 14th National Conference of Political Officials of the Armed Forces on Tuesday, he highlighted that the Yemeni people have exceeded expectations in their contributions on the battlefield. They have undertaken extraordinary actions in backing the Resistance Movement, notably including the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, and the broader Palestinian cause.

Iran’s chief diplomat affirmed that the Islamic Republic has consistently backed the Resistance Movement and will continue to lend its support to the cause.

He emphasized that despite facing challenging economic and military circumstances, the Yemeni people have demonstrated their self-reliance and continue to resist adversarial forces independently.

A representative noted that the Yemeni population has been significantly involved in supporting the Palestinian cause since the initiation of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. He highlighted that despite facing intense bombardment from the American-Zionist coalition, Yemeni forces have managed to strike at the core of the occupied territories with sophisticated, indigenous missile technology.

Araghchi emphasized that these missiles have complicated the strategic plans of the American-Israeli alliance.

The Yemeni Armed Forces escalated their military campaign against occupied territories by executing two drone strikes targeting Israeli locations in Jaffa and Ashkelon on Monday.
