Iran government reaffirms its commitment to pursuing the vision and goals set forth by Imam Khomeini
In a ceremonial visit to the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini on Saturday, Iran’s President and his cabinet reaffirmed their commitment to the principles espoused by the late founder of the Islamic Republic. This event is part of the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) festivities that commemorate the 1979 Islamic Revolution's triumph.
At a commemorative ceremony held at the shrine located south of Tehran, President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to upholding the legacy and vision of the late Imam Khomeini.
In a statement referencing comments by Imam Khomeini, the president criticized what he termed “idiotic thoughts” driving the Israeli regime to perpetrate various crimes. He further asserted that international media wrongly accuse Iran and oppressed populations of offenses actually committed by global superpowers.
In a recent address, Pezeshkian emphasized that the path to dignity is independent of Western or Eastern influences, urging for strengthened national unity within the country.
Annually, Iranians commemorate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution from February 1 to 11, a period known as the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies. This observance marks Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini’s return from exile on February 1, 1979, which sparked a national uprising culminating in the overthrow of the Pahlavi regime on February 11 of the same year.
