Iran has repeatedly announced readiness for talks with 5+1

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said here on Tuesday that Tehran has repeatedly announced its readiness for talks with the Group 5+1.

Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he added, “Anytime that the other side announces its readiness for talks, we are ready for negotiations. There are various international crises that can be solved through such bilateral talks.”

Asked about sanctions imposed on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad by European states, he said due to several political and economic crises in Europe, the European states are playing the blame game.

He stressed that such moves by the West indicates the existing contradiction between their words and actions.

He called on the European countries to concentrate on their own people’s interests and not to follow wrong policies of certain countries.

Referring to recent remarks made by US President Barrack Obama against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, he reiterated that his anti-Iran statements are in line with Iranophobia propaganda.

On Iran-Kuwait relations, he said the two countries are interested in making use of all existing potentials in both countries and in the entire region to further boost all-out cooperation.

Denouncing Washington’s support for the Zionists’ crimes in the region, he said such US approach has been the root cause of regional developments in the past few decades.

He also condemned silence of western countries on violation of human rights in Bahrain and stressed that the US has actually turned into a hunb for supporting terrorist groups including Rigi.
