Islamic Jihad on High Alert as IOF Storms Jenin, Kills Palestinians

Fierce clashes erupted as the occupation forces entered the camp, Palestine Today reported, adding that some of the injured sustained serious wounds.

Occupation forces failed to arrest Sohaib Merhi, an operative in Jenin Battalion Resistance group, the Palestinian media outlet quoted local sources at the camp as saying.

Heavy gunfire was heard across Jenin camp as smoke pillars were seen, the sources added.

Following the Israeli attack, Islamic Jihad Secretary General Ziad Nakhale urged the military wing, Al-Quds Brigades, to be put on high alert.

Occupation forces have been ramping up repressive measures against Palestinian people across the West Bank and occupied territories following three individual operations killed 11 Israelis in Beersheba, Hadera and Tel Aviv’s Bnei Brak during the last week.

Palestinian Resistance factions hailed the operations as heroic, stressing that the attacks are legitimate retaliatory actions to Israeli continuous occupation.
