Iran introduced a ‘missile megacity,’ with its military chief praising it as a demonstration of ‘a far stronger iron fist’
The Aerospace Division of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has revealed a newly established "missile megacity," adding to its extensive network of similar installations spread throughout the country.

The new facility was officially inaugurated on Tuesday, attended by Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, alongside Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Commander of the Aerospace Division.
Iranian news outlets have released footage capturing high-ranking officials visiting an expansive facility that contains a vast array of surgical strike ballistic missiles, including models like the Kheybar Shekan, Martyr Haj Qassem, Qadr-H, Sejjil, and Emad.
Iran’s Kheybar Shekan-1 missile is reportedly designed to counter the highly-regarded U.S. THAAD missile defense system. Alongside it, the Kheybar Shekan-2 has been further developed to effectively evade this American system. The U.S. THAAD system is acknowledged for its ability to neutralize threats from up to 200 kilometers (124 miles) away.
The missile, named Martyr Haj Qassem, honors the Islamic Republic’s prominent anti-terror figure, General Qassem Soleimani. General Soleimani was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad in early 2020. He played a pivotal role in combatting foreign-supported Takfiri terrorists in the region.
Iran’s arsenal now includes the Qadr-H missile, capable of reaching distances up to 1,700 kilometers (1,056 miles), alongside the Emad and Sejjil missiles. These have all been recognized as formidable medium-range ballistic missiles within the nation’s strategic military capabilities.
During a tour of the facility, Bagheri declared that Iran’s strength is significantly more formidable now than it has been in the past.
“Reportedly, the new development boasts a strength tenfold that of its predecessor, True Promise II.”
The commander stated that all the necessary defensive elements have been developed to establish a military capability that is tenfold stronger than what was deployed during Operation True Promise II.
In a display of military capability, the Islamic Republic conducted Operation True Promise I and II last year, executing retaliatory strikes following perceived acts of aggression by Israel.
In a demonstration of precision and capability, Iran executed operations involving the deployment of hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones, effectively targeting Israeli military and intelligence installations.
Iranian authorities have emphasized that the nation utilized only a small portion of its military capabilities in the recent twin retaliatory measures.
Bagheri emphasized that the Islamic Republic is advancing its defensive capabilities at a rate significantly outpacing the recovery efforts of its adversaries.
The official confidently stated that “the adversary is bound to lag in this balance of power,” while commending the Iranian Armed Forces for their continued progress, advancement, and strengthening of capabilities.
