Iran Kills More Terrorist Jundollah Group Leaders

Leaders of three groups affiliated to the terrorist Jundollah group have been killed by Iranian security forces in the country’s Southeastern Sistan and Balouchestan province, a senior judiciary official announced on Tuesday.
“The ringleaders of three grouplets affiliated to Jundosheitan (Jundollah) have been killed,” General-Director of Sistan and Balouchestan’s provincial Justice Department Hojjatoleslam Ebrahim Hamidi told reporters in the provincial capital city of Zahedan on Tuesday.

Hamidi also announced that the Iranian forces had arrested the members of a terrorist group on the threshold of Iran’s June 14 presidential election, adding that the arrestees “were carrying explosive devices were affiliated to anti-revolutionary grouplets”.

He said that the Iranian security forces are trying to identify the liaisons of the terrorist group in Iran.

Iranian Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi warned in 2012 that foreign intelligence services recruit and revive terrorist groups like Jundollah – a CIA backed organization notorious for its terrorist operations in Southeastern Iran.

“The foreign (intelligence) services form certain groups to stir sectarian war and create rift between the Shiites and Sunnis as their main agenda, and it is clear that when the ringleader of a group is arrested in a big operation, they move to reconstruct the group,” Moslehi said, referring to the February 2011 arrest of Abdolmalek Rigi, the ringleader of Jundollah, which was blamed for the Friday terrorist bomb attack in Iran’s Southeastern city of Chabahar.

The Jundollah group has claimed responsibility for numerous terrorist attacks in Iran. The group has carried out mass murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, acts of sabotage and bombings. They have targeted civilians and government officials as well as all ranks of Iran’s military.

In one of the worst cases, the terrorist group killed 22 citizens and abducted 7 more in the Tasouki region on a road linking the southeastern city of Zahedan to another provincial town.

In 2007, Jundollah kidnapped 30 people in the Sistan and Balouchestan province and took them to the neighboring Pakistan.

Jundollah claimed responsibility the same year for an attack on an Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) bus in which 11 IRGC personnel were killed.

In another crime in October 2009, the Pakistan-based terrorist Jundollah group claimed responsibility for a deadly attack in the Sistan and Balouchestan province which killed 42 people among them a group of senior military commanders, including Lieutenant Commander of the IRGC Ground Force Brigadier General Nourali Shoushtari.
