Tehran’s Friday Prayers

ca63d1b0c4f350b4aff95311ded50666_LTehran’s interim Friday Prayers Leader, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahhedi Kermani, has emphasized that the Iranian nation will never allow Iran’s honour and dignity to be marred (trampled upon) during the nuclear negotiations.

According to IRIB, addressing a huge crowd of Friday Prayers worshipped and the Faithful in Tehran, Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani emphasized that the negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 Group should be carried out in a level playing field, and on an equitable basis, with both sides showing flexibility and engaging in diplomatic give-and-take. Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani stressed that because the Westerners generally make excessive demands, and have done so in the past, if Iran is seen to yield to Western demands without getting anything in return, then this would raise Western expectations and embolden them to make further demands from Iran.
Referring to the recent nuclear discussions between Iran and the 5+1 Group in Geneva , Switzerland, Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani said the nuclear talks are a good opportunity to introduce Iran’s humanitarian and peaceful values and ideals to the world public. He added: “Iranian negotiating team must show the world that all Western claims against Iran, particularly U.S. claims against Iran, which are meant to spread Iranophobia, are just conspiracies and scaremongering”.
Tehran’s interim Friday Prayers Leader went on to give some advice to Iran’s nuclear negotiators, urging them to know who they are negotiating with, to know and be aware of every trick and diplomatic maneuvering used by the other side, and to defend Islamic Iran’s interests and to defend the ideals of Iran’s Islamic revolution, and to safeguard the lawful nuclear rights of the Iranian nation.
Turning to anti-Iranian remarks by a number of U.S. officials in recent days , Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani emphasized that as long as U.S. officials continue to threaten the Iranian nation, and as long as they are disrespectful towards Iranians, the Iranian people will not trust them. He pointedly added: “Recent threats and comments by US officials have shown that the November 24th agreement has had no effect on their hostility towards Iran”.
Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani added: “The Islamic identity of the Iranian government is the real reason behind America’s long-standing hostility towards Iran”.
Tehran’s interim Friday Prayers Leader stressed that the Iranian people will never forget the crimes committed by the United States against Iran during the past 35 years, adding that the U.S. is and will be the enemy of Iran, and it is unrealistic to expect to see “any good will” coming out of United States.
