On Tuesday, Irani declared that the Iranian Army’s most recent successes and strategies to bolster its naval forces would soon be complemented by the inclusion of Fateh-2 and Fateh-3 submarines into the nation’s naval armada.

The Iranian Navy chief announced that they will be adding more equipment to the country’s southern and northern fleet. They intend to do so by increasing the presence of surface units and speeding up the joining of Fateh-2 and -3 for more authority in the sub-surface area.

He mentioned that the Fateh submarines have advanced features and capabilities, and noted that they have been outfitted with dual-purpose, domestically-made torpedoes that all have passed their test launches successfully.

Irani stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Navy will soon be announcing a unique accomplishment to the press, which will bring good news to the people of Iran.

Fateh, one of the semi-heavy submarines weighing 600 tons, is equipped with the most modern weapons such as torpedoes and naval mines. Additionally, it is fitted with a guided-missile system and a sophisticated sonic radar system, which can detect enemy ships. With a capability to dive down to 200 meters below sea level, Fateh can stay underwater for almost five weeks.

So far, Iran has constructed and launched various kinds of advanced submarines, such as the Ghadir, Qaem, Nahang, Tareq, and Sina, all of which were made domestically.

In recent years, Iran’s Navy has been active in international waters, ensuring the security of merchant vessels and tankers by protecting naval routes. Their efforts have been successful in thwarting attacks on both Iranian and foreign tankers during their missions.
