Iran’s foreign minister, while pointing to his presence in Africa despite pressures and sanctions, dubbed the Resistance economy a strategic choice.
Addressing a group of Iranian nationals in Tanzania, Iran’s FM Mohammad Javad Zarif noted that the resistance economy is a role model in domestic and foreign policy, stressing that an oil-independent economy is possible if “we want to and get free from oil ups and downs and the international pressures.”

FM Zarif, while rejecting the claims that the US is the only side which takes advantage of nuclear talks, said this belief was exactly what the US officials were seeking. “We should trust our negotiators in the way that we can gain success during talks on our nuclear program,” Zarif added.

On Wednesday, Zarif arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on the final leg of his East African tour.

Mohammad Javad Zarif has already visited Kenya, Uganda and Burundi and held talks with high ranking officials on the expansion of mutual relations as well as the latest regional and international developments.
