Iran President meets with Sheikh of al-Azhar

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad conferred on Tuesday with the grand Sheikh al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad al-Tayeb on the issues pertaining to the Muslim world.

President Ahmadinejad is now visiting Egypt at the official invitation of his Egyptian counterpart to attend the 12th OIC summit in Cairo.
According to IRNA, he addressed a group of ulema and university lecturers on regional and global developments.
The Iranian president was welcomed by a large number of regional and international media persons in Cairo.
