Iran uncovers spy, terrorist network

Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence says it has discovered a sabotage network. The network has been working to incite ethnic violence.
Ministry of Intelligence Public Relations office issued a statement about discovering a sabotage network linked to the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The group allegedly was working to assassinate prominent religious and ethnic figures in regions with ethnic and religious diversity, and implicate other ethnicities and the government in the crime.

The report said that “since few years ago, the mastermind of the group was employed by one of the most reactionary Arab regimes. Having been employed, the mastermind was linked to intelligence officer of Mossad in order to take part in operations after setting for him compensations.

After receiving necessary military and security training, he was sent to Occupied Territories. Then he received a list of intelligence requirements from Mossad agent and through the agency of a secondary country entered Iran.

On the order of his employer, the mastermind went for meeting two Zionist-Bahaist sect leaders in an Indian Peninsula country, and established necessary contacts and arrangements.

The main convict in the case, after some time, received order for implementing sabotage and terrorist acts especially during presidential election campaign and voting day. In line with his duties, he established a group of 12 people and obtained significant amounts of riffles and automatic guns and hid them.

After receiving operational and terrorist trainings and in order to field maneuvers, they select some targets in periphery cities. Their most evil mission was inciting ethnic and religious discord in the country. It was ordered to assassinate prominent figures of ethnic and religious groups and implicate the government and other groups in the case through spreading hatred.

Intelligence surveillance by the ministry discovered their relationship with a center located in the UK, to which many of past cases of terrorism had been related.

The investigations by the ministry are still underway about its relation with terrorist circles. The ministry also discovered and seized their hiding place for weapons and artillery, and videos, photos, and a list of intelligence agents and officials of the countries related to the case, which would be exploited when necessary.
