Bahrain Dialogue lands dead in the water

Al-Wefaq – the main party of the opposition in Bahrain – recently told the press that Bahrain National Dialogue was like a dying patient on oxygen.
With all parties entrenched in their positions, little progress has been made so far, raising some serious questions over the kingdom’s political future.

Al-Wefaq noted that the crisis is not only political and constitutional but based on a desire to human rights respected and uphold, a notion the opposition said the regime does not seem to comprehend.

Al-Wefaq rejected Bahrain Interior Ministry claims that Bahrain went above and beyond the Bassiouni report recommendations in relations to human rights, noting that repression is at an all time high in the kingdom.
