Iran: Saving Zionist Israel, main aim of enemy

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has cautioned against plans drawn up by enemies and hegemonic powers to dominate over regional nations, insisting that all such ploys are geared towards saving the Zionist Israeli regime.

President Ahmadinejad reiterated in a Sunday meeting with Lebanese Parliament speaker Nabih Berri in Tehran that rescuing Israel from an eminent fall is the main objective of the enemy. However, he noted, if the Zionist Israeli regime fails to emerge victorious, there is nothing the enemy can do in other parts of the world.

The Iranian president warned leaders of certain Arab countries to “remain vigilant and not be entangled in their [world powers] games,” adding that the US and its allies are losing their grip on the world, IRNA reported.

He deplored the interference of foreign powers in Syria’s internal affairs and stated that any threat to the independence and existence of Damascus will not be merely confined to Syria, but that all regional countries will suffer the adverse consequences.

We oppose foreign interference in Syria’s developments and will try to reduce it. We held consultations with senior officials of certain Arab countries, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Turkish officials in this regard, he pointed out.

In another meeting with President of Paraguay’s Chamber of Deputies Victor Bogado, the Iranian president said that justice and freedom will be achieved only if nations reinforce unity and resist against arrogant powers.

Meanwhile, in a separate meeting with speaker of Tanzania’s new Zanzibar House of Representatives Pandu Ameir Kificho, the Iranian chief executive said that Palestine is an international issue which belongs to all nations.

“All countries should make efforts to liberate the Palestinian land from Israel,” he added.

In a meeting with Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly chief Taufiq Kiemas, the Iranian president stressed the importance of strengthening unity among nations to save the Palestinian people.

The rescue of the Palestinian people will destroy bases of arrogant powers in the region, Ahmadinejad emphasized.

In a meeting with Afghan Speaker of the House of Representatives Abdul Raouf Ebrahimi and Senate Chairman Fazle Hadi Muslimyar, President Ahmadinejad said that enemies have not sent their troops to Afghanistan to establish security.

They are not interested in a secure and peaceful Afghanistan, he emphasized.

He expressed Iran’s support for the Afghan people and their path to progress.

President Ahmadinejad further told Qatari parliament speaker Muhammad bin-Mubarak that no obstacle can prevent the expansion of mutual relations.

The Iranian president’s meetings were held on the sidelines of the 5th International Conference on Palestinian Intifada which ended in Tehran on Sunday.
