Jalili: Syrian Economy Targeted for Supporting Resistance

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili saw that afflicting the Syrian economic infrastructure aims at exerting pressure on Syrians to reconsider supporting the resistance.
In a meeting with Syrian Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Sobhi Ahmad al-Abdullah, Jalili stressed the strategic ties between the two countries, highlighting the pressure exerted to reconsider supporting the resistance.

Moreover, Jalili clarified that Western-backed terrorists must be distinguished from citizens who merely demand reforms through democratic means.

He underscored that those who oppose political salvation in Syria fear of manifesting the true demand of Syrians through democratic mechanisms.
For his part, al-Abdallah elucidated the latest developments and economic situations in Syria, emphasizing that despite attempts to force Syria to halt support to the resistance, Syria will surely prevail and pass this test with flying colors.
