Iran starts advanced shells production

Iran has launched production line for 130-millimeter advanced artillery shells, the longest range in its arsenal.

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi inaugurated the production line of the advanced shells in the capital Tehran.

He said experts have improved the older version of the system, increasing the range of the ammunition from 27 to 45 kilometers.

Brig. Gen. Vahidi added the advanced shell uses solid fuel and acts like a ballistic missile.

He explained that the new missile have high destructive capacity, stressing that the production of such weapons would increase the combat power of the armed forces of Iran.
