Iran will not retreat from N. right

A candidate for the 11th presidential elections in Iran has emphasized resoluteness vis-à-vis the issue of nuclear rights of the nation and firmness in front of the Western pressures.

According to Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Reza Aref, a reformist presidential candidate who withdrew from the race a week before the election day, referred to the sanctions imposed by the West against Iran and said: “The Americans know well that the Islamic Republic is not in pursuit of nuclear weapons and also the peaceful nature of the activities; a matter that has been underlined by Iranian officials several times.”
Aref, a member of Iran’s Expediency Council, noted that the western countries considered this technology as a monopoly for themselves, politicizing Iran’s nuclear issue.
He continued saying that Iran was ready to share its achievements in the nuclear sector with other nations; again a matter that has received the monopolistic West.
The Iranian politician reiterated that Iran will not retreat the least from its inalienable rights, and while respecting the rights of others pursues a policy of dialogue and interaction to remove differences.
Emphasizing the role of NGOs in interactions between the countries, Mohammad Reza Aref called for frequent exchanges of views between the western NGOs and those in Iran.
