Iran to hold national communications, IT festival

Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technologies announced holding of the festival in 7 major sections of ‘communication networks and IT,’ ‘e-government,’ ‘content and service in National Information Network,’ ‘rural and underprivileged regions service propagation and research,’ ‘innovation,’ ‘industry and commercialization,’ ‘modern media and communications,’ and ‘modern post services extension.’

Seyed Mojtaba Hashemi, Deputy-Minister of Communications told reporters on Monday that the festival would be promoted to national level, and in near future to an international level; “the plans for holding of the festival have been underway since last few months,” he added. “Among the issues to be addressed by the festival are logistics, engineering and technical services, international communications and transit, data services center, and communications operator and IT.”

Hashemi added that the festival would also address electronic government in subsections of unit service windows and national and provincial administrative units.
