The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought in a statement condemned the recent Israeli regime’s move in storming the al-Aqsa Mosque in East al-Quds and catalogue of crimes perpetrated by the regime against downtrodden nation of Palestine, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The statement beckoned to the deadly attack of regime in 1969 and killing worshippers in Hebron noting, “Recent raid of Zionism regime on Al-Aqsa Mosque perpetrated directly by Israeli forces and authorities is not less than its attempts for burning down the Mosque in 1969”.

Back to that time, “the incident drew ire from Muslim nations and laid the way for establishing the Organization of Islamic Conference, but this time Zionism stormed Muslims’ first Qiblah assuming Muslims will not react to this willful moves,” the statement reads.

“The regime of Zionism in recent years concocted so many schemes for bowing down Muslims to their wants,” the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought adding the regime hatched scores of plots to destroy Muslims’ dignity and solidarity.

According to the statement, to arrive at its willful objectives, Zionism has triggered showdown in different Muslims countries including Gaza, Syria, Yemen and Iraq, making Muslims plunged into religious and tribal disputations.

The statement underlined the need for unity among Muslims in the face of Israeli bids to destroy the sacred al-Aqsa Mosque in al-Quds (Jerusalem).

The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought always level criticism at certain Arabian countries for falling silent against such misdeeds and even paving the way for Israel to arrive at its set objectives.

Regarding these events, Iranian unity activists urge Muslims to put united nation and other human right foundations under pressure for taking immediate measures against Israel aggression and violation of human right.

The brutal assault against Palestinians at the site of the mosque started on Sunday following the deployment of Israeli soldiers to the area for the Jewish Rosh Hashanah New Year holiday

Needless to say, the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, located in the Israeli-occupied Old City of al-Quds, is a flashpoint holy Islamic site. The location of the compound, known to Jews as the Temple Mount, is the holiest site in Judaism. The mosque is Islam’s third holiest site after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

The regime of Israel has applied sweeping restrictions on entry into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound since August 26.
