Syrians Raise Largest National Flag to Support Reform Program and Reject Foreign Interference

Hundreds of thousands of Syrians on Sunday raised the largest national flag in the world, 16 kilometers long and four meters wide, in Lattakia.

 

The event came within the framework of the popular initiative organized by youth activities to show support to the reform program and national dialogue launched by President Bashar al-Assad and express rejection of the foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs.
The flag, which has an area of 72,000 square meters, is stretched from the University Square at the entrance of Lattakia city all the way to Jableh Bridge on the Lattakia-Damascus highway.
Youth and civil activities from all the Syrian provinces participated in the event.

1000 Cars Head from Aleppo to Lattakia

In the same context, more than1000 cars headed from Aleppo towards Lattakia to participate in this event.
The car rally kicked off from Abu Feras al-Hamadani Square at the Western entrance of Aleppo towards the coastal region passing by Hama, Homs and Tartous cities.

The rally carries peace and love message to their partner in their motherland, calling them to take part in building Syria.
Organizer of the rally, Pierre Haddad said, in a statement to SANA, the rally expresses the Syrian people’s support to the comprehensive reform program and denunciation of all foreign attempts of US, Israel and their regional allies to interfere in Syria’s affairs.

He expected the number of the participating cars to reach about 4000 from various Syrian governorates to convey a message to the world that the Syrian people is united in support of the reform steps and rejection of all conspiracies aiming at sowing sedition among them.
