Hundreds of militants were killed on Tuesday in fierce fighting between the Al-Qaeda-affiliate Al-Nusra Front and its rival so-called Syrian Revolutionary Front in Idlib countryside, Al-Alam website reported.

The Al-Nusra Front and its foe resumed fighting on October 27 after several months of truce.

On its Twitter page, Al-Nusra Front announced that it seized 10 tanks, 4 vehicles, 80 BGM-71 TOW (Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided) missiles, 130 cannons and an arms cache from the rival militant group.

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army targeted militants’ strongholds in the outskirts of Hama and al-Quneitra provinces, killing and wounding a large number of anti-government gunmen in the battlefronts.

The Syrian troops raided militants’ assembly points in Um Batina road in rural Quneitra which resulted in the killing, wounding and the capture of a large number of militiamen.

The national military thwarted as well an attempt by a terrorist group to infiltrate al-Habbariyeh from Deir Maker in the countryside of the Southwestern province, killing most of the group’s members and wounding others.
