Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Purges Terrorists from More Regions in Damascus Countryside

 

 The Syrian army continued its mop-up operations in the Western countryside of Damascus by purging terrorists from key regions.

The army units also pushed back terrorists from the key areas and took back their positions while advancing further into Western Damascus.

The Syrian troops killed tens of terrorists and injured dozens more in fierce clashes over controlling of strategic regions. They also destroyed military equipment of the terrorists.

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

Damascus

The Syrian Army troops stormed the last bases of terrorists in Western Damascus and managed to capture two more strategic hills on Monday.

The army men battled toughly with terrorists Southwest of the village of Kafr Hoor in Southwestern Damascus, taking control over Tal (hill) al-Sawadi 1 and 2.

Meantime, four notorious commanders of Faylaq al-Rahman were killed in a fresh round of clashes with the Syrian Army soldiers in Harasta region, militant-affiliated websites reported on Monday.

The websites said that Ihim al-Haj Ali, Rezwan Darwish, Samir al-Halaq nom de guerre Abu Hamzeh and Qasan Warda al-Sham, four senior commanders of Faylaq al-Rahman terrorist group, were killed in clashes with the army men in a region near the Vehicles Management Base in Harasta in Eastern Ghouta.

Relevant reports also said that the army continued its mop-up operations in the Southeastern countryside of Damascus by purging terrorists from key regions.

The army units also pushed back terrorists from the key areas and took back their positions while advancing further into Southeastern Damascus.

The Syrian Army troops pushed terrorists back from the entire hills between the towns of Hineh and Kafr Hoor in Jabal al-Sheikh region in Southeastern Damascus near the border with Quneitra province.

The army men clashed with terrorists and captured a number of hills, including al-Sawadi, Fajr 1, Fajr 2, al-Namroud and al-Faransi between Hineh and Kafr Hoor.

Homs

The Syrian Army’s missile and artillery units shelled heavily terrorists’ strongholds in Northern Homs in response to their bloody attack to al-Walid Mill that killed seven civilians and injured 48 others.

Terrorist groups’ missile units attacked al-Walid Mill along Homs-Hama road near al-Javiyeh square on Sunday that killed seven workers and injured 48, violating ceasefire in de-escalation zone in Northern Homs again.

The artillery and missile units retaliated terrorists’ attack on al-Walid Mill and opened heavy fire at terrorists’ positions in the town of Talbiseh and the villages of al-Qantu and al-Qajar in Northern Homs, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

Hama

The Syrian Army troops repelled another heavy attack of Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Northeastern Hama on Monday, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The army men engaged in tough battle with Al-Nusra terrorists that had attacked the government forces’ position in the village of Shakhitar in Northeastern Hama from three different flanks of al-Mostariheh, Ma’akar al-Janoubi and Um Mayal.

The Al-Nusra suffered heavy casualties and its military hardware sustained major damage in the failed attack.

Dissident-affiliated websites acknowledged on Sunday that one of the most experienced experts of anti-tank TOW missiles units of Idlib Free Army was killed in clashes with the Syrian Army in Hama province.

The websites reported that Khalid Khalouf, one of the most notorious experts of TOW anti-tank missile of the Idlib Free Army was killed in clashes with the Syrian Army men in Northeastern Hama.

In the meantime, Omar al-Mar’ei, one of the commanders of the Idlib Free Army, was badly injured during heavy fighting with the Syrian government forces in the region, the websites said.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army troops captured another ISIL-held region in Eastern Deir Ezzur, killing tens of terrorists, field sources confirmed on Monday.

The sources said that the army men drove ISIL out of the small town of al-Kashmah (Tishrin) after they captured the town of al-Salehiyeh in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

Tens of ISIL terrorists were killed and several bomb-laden suicide vehicles of them were destroyed in the attack.
