Tehran’s Interim Friday Prayers Leader, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahhedi Kermani, has stressed that any military attack on Syria, will be to the detriment of the belligerent countries which initiate the war, and will result in the destruction of the Zionist regime of Israel.

Addressing a massive crowd of Friday prayers worshippers and the faithful in Tehran, Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani referred to the recent developments in Syria, and also referred to America’s threats of military action against Syria, and
warned of the terrible consequences of a military strike against Syria. He said the repercussions of such action will not only be to the detriment of the warmongering nations which initiate hostilities, but it will also result in the complete destruction of the Zionist regime of Israel.

Tehran’s Interim Friday Prayers Leader said America should think twice and act carefully and wisely in relation to Syria. He warned that another war in the middle east region will plunge this region into further instability and insecurity.
Turning to the situation in Egypt, Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani emphasized that it is a matter of great regret that a civilized nation such as Egypt, with a long list of religious scholars, intellectuals, scientists and elites to its credit, should experience such a setback and such a “deplorable fate”.
He said the current “troubles” in Egypt, have their origins in the conspiracies of the arrogant powers and of the Zionists, who want to weaken Islamic nations. He pointedly added: “The Egyptian people should unite, they should stand united against their enemies, they should be vigilant and avoid in-fighting”.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Tehran’s Interim Friday Prayers Leader said the colonialist and arrogant powers want to take control of the resources and natural wealth of the countries of this region, using military might, the Logic of “might is right” , large-scale killings and adventurism. He added: “The creation of the Zionist regime and western-backed puppet regimes in this region is meant to secure the interests of the Arrogant powers, as well as the interests of global Zionism, and is meant to weaken the world of Islam”.
In further comments Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani questioned the claim that the United Nations and the UN security council are meant to defend humanity , saying this claim is “patently false”. He added: “Clearly these international bodies are instruments in the hands of the arrogant powers who are using these institutions to achieve their selfish and hegemonic objectives”.
Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani went on to refer to America’s many crimes and atrocities against a long list of nations, and specifically referred to America’s atomic bombing of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He poignantly added: “Today, all nations have awakened and are seeking independence , and want to set themselves free from foreign domination”.
