Iranian Academics Warn of No Safe Haven for US, Israeli Officials Amidst Supreme Leader Threat

More than 12,700 university professors in Iran have denounced what they describe as "insolent and shameless threats" from US President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directed at Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Professors Basij Organization, comprising 12,741 members, cautioned that any “malicious and insulting” actions compromising the sanctity of Ayatollah Khamenei could result in “unpredictable costs.”

The statement declared that nowhere in Iran, the region, or globally will be safe, not only for Trump and those who authorize and execute such actions, but also for any agents of the so-called terrorist US military.

The professors issued a warning to the “child-killing Zionist regime and its Western supporters,” cautioning that unchecked arrogance at the highest levels will not resolve the conflict but instead fuel an incessant war and an unyielding pursuit of their downfall.

A group of professors has urged renowned scholars, intellectuals, media personnel, and writers to fulfill their historic duty by expressing support for Muslim leaders and raising awareness among Muslim nations and the free peoples globally.

Last week, in his characteristic aggressive rhetoric, Trump unleashed a verbal assault on Ayatollah Khamenei, alleging that he had thwarted assassination attempts by the Israeli regime and American military forces.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi recently urged Trump to demonstrate respect towards Ayatollah Khamenei as a sincere gesture if he is truly aiming to secure a deal with Iran.

A senior diplomat stated in a social media post that if Trump sincerely seeks an agreement, he must abandon the disrespectful and unacceptable rhetoric towards Iran’s Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei.

On June 13, Israel reportedly carried out a targeted operation against Iran, resulting in the assassination of several high-ranking military commanders and nuclear scientists. The incident has been described as an unprovoked act of aggression.

On June 22, the United States escalated tensions in the Middle East by initiating strikes on three nuclear installations within Iran. This action has been criticized for contravening the United Nations Charter and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), aligning the U.S. with Israel’s aggressive stance towards Tehran.

On June 24, the Israeli government, facing isolation, declared a unilateral cessation of its military actions, with the announcement made on its behalf by Trump.
