Iranian Military Command Initiates Extensive Drills
Iran's Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces has directed the commencement of military exercises designed to bolster the nation's defensive and deterrence capabilities.
Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, has commanded the initiation of the 2025 series of nationwide military exercises, referred to as the Drills of Authority, using the code phrase “Ya Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH).”
Bagheri stated that the exercises are aimed at bolstering the defensive strength, enhancing operational readiness, and improving deterrence capabilities of Iran’s armed forces.
This year’s military exercises have been rescheduled with adjustments to the standard calendar, aiming to address shifting regional threats and adversary activities.
