Iranian Official stresses Iran, China Strategic Ties

The head of Expediency Council’s Center for Strategic Research, Ali Akbar Velayati on Saturday stressed the necessity of boosting relations of this center with China Academy of Social Sciences within the framework of advancing strategic ties between the two countries.

According to IRIB World Service, Velayati in a meeting with the member of China’s Communist Party and the Secretary of Social Sciences Academy of this country, Wong Qishan said, “The Social Sciences Academy of China and Iran’s Center for Strategic Research can build more constructive relations.”

He referred to the emphases of Iran and China presidents on the necessity of boosting ties between different bodies of the two countries and added: “Wong Qishan’s trip to Tehran can be helpful in reflecting the current realities of Iran to China.”

The Chinese official for his part called familiarization of the two nations and the governments as the main goal of his trip and added, “In this trip, the issues discussed in the meeting of Iran and China presidents for establishing strategic relations between the two countries will be put under negotiation.”
