“Resistance is the only way to confront the criminal regime of Israel, and the resistance groups will defend the Palestinian cause with maximum preparedness and power until historic Palestine from the River to the Sea is liberated completely,” said the statement read by senior member of the parliament’s Presiding Board Seyed Mohsen Dehnavi.
“The axis of resistance, led by the Qods Force and with the help of the spirit of the martyrs of the resistance, specially the great resistance fighter (former commander of the IRGC Qods Force), martyr (Lieutenant General) Haj Qassem Soleimani, will liberate the land of Palestine from the claws of the evil regime. Quds will be liberated by the Qods Force,” it added.
“While condemning the crimes of the Israeli occupying regime, the Iranian parliament expresses its sympathy and solidarity with the Palestinian people, parliament and MPs, and declares its full readiness to render any assistance to the oppressed Palestinian people. While emphasizing the need for internal unity among the Palestinians, we see resistance as the only way to liberate Palestine and ask the Muslim nations of the region to help their Palestinian brothers and sisters,” the statement said.
It also blasted the UN for silence on the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians, as well as certain Arab states for normalizing relations with the Zionist regime.
At least 21 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air raids on the besieged Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
Earlier on Monday tensions at the compound, the third holiest in Islam which is also revered by Jews, escalated with more than 300 Palestinians wounded when Israeli police stormed the mosque, firing rubber bullets, stun grenades and tear gas.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf had earlier today deplored the recent killing and injuring of the Palestinians in the al-Aqsa Mosque and Gaza, stressing that the resistance front and the Islamic Ummah will defeat the Zionist regime.
“The Iranian parliament condemns the crimes committed by the usurping Zionist regime’s desecration of the al-Aqsa Mosque and killing of the oppressed people of Palestine, specially the children,” Qalibaf said on Tuesday, addressing an open session of the parliament.
He blasted Israel for its daily crimes and violations of human rights against Palestinians, and slammed the international organizations for their silence on the crimes.
“They should rest assured that the Islamic Ummah is standing against the genocide that is taking place, and the people of Gaza always take action against the Quds occupying regime,” Qalibaf said.
He also lashed out at certain Arab states for normalizing relations with Israel, and said, “They should know that the Islamic Ummah and the resistance forces will stand against these crimes and will win.”
